Last Thursday, February 28th, Mountain Craft Productions attended the annual “ADDY” awards at the Mardi Gras Casino and Resort in Cross Lanes and were delighted to watch the #ChooseWV video campaign win four awards— including two silver awards, a Judges Choice award, and the People’s Choice award.

The ADDYs are an annual awards show presented by a local chapter of the oldest national advertising trade association in the US, the American Advertising Federation. Judged by peers in the advertising agency from other states, the show highlights the best work in print, digital, and video advertising from the past year.

The #ChooseWV video campaign was a real highlight 2018 for Mountain Craft Productions. With a video shoot spanning multiple shoot days in beautiful locations throughout Marion, Monongalia, Cabell, Kanawha, Tucker, Brooke, Fayette, and Taylor counties, the campaign espouses a message of hope and inspiration to remind people both home and abroad to choose West Virginia for work, for family, and for life.

Last year’s Leadership WV class was the catalyst for the campaign, and it was their initial vision and fundraising that led to the video and the campaign website which was developed by The Manahan Group in Charleston. There were many collaborators and instrumental figures involved in making the video happen, such of Rachel Dyer, Steven Keith, and George Manahan to name a few, however the people of WV, the beauty of WV, and the promise of a bright future were the primary inspiration.
